MinMap tracks what's been done and what hasn't. Road progress is saved and shared, and everyone who opens this page sees changes as they happen.
MinMap is an independent, non-profit app.
The only thing recorded about a house is a do-not-call, when the householder has asked not to be visited again. A publisher requests it; an overseer approves it, and only then does it show for everyone. The record keeps the house's place on the map, who requested it and the date: no householder names, reasons or notes. An overseer can remove it later, for example if the householder has moved. Road marks don't record who made them. While a road is being worked, a house can be marked done or not done; these marks don't say who made them or when, and they're cleared when the road is finished or the map is handed back. Road assignments name the publisher and are cleared after the day. Each map also keeps a record, like the paper territory card: who it was given to and shared with, and when it was finished and handed back. Only overseers and the people working the map see it.
- Territories: pick one from the Territories tab. Ones being worked now are at the top.
- Roads: tap one, choose To do, Partly or Done. For Partly, slide or tap to where you stopped.
- Houses: they're landmarks. Tap the last house you reached and the road is marked partly done up to there. To mark a house do not call, tap it, then Do not call; an overseer approves it.
- Missing house: press the house-with-plus button, then tap where it stands.
- Assigning roads: press the person-with-plus button on the map, tap roads, press Assign. Press it again to go back to marking. You can prepare a WhatsApp message with a link.
